A Motion Art Project About People, Passion and Environment, by Christopher Laughter
While in Iceland I am looking to spend time with a native Icelander who is an active contributor and positive force within their community. Whether this person is an artist, entrepreneur, educator, farmer, philanthropist, politician, or all / none of the above; I am hoping to see this country through the eyes of a passionate local and I am eager to gain an understanding of how their vehicle is driven through this life.
Some specific areas of interest are Renewable Energies, Politics, Agriculture, Education, Sports, Fashion, Design, Photography, Performance Art, and Music
The subject must be able to commit to a full day of availability and be willing to share their daily experiences and insights on life with me in a very personal manner. We will dig into a variety of personal and professional themes while exploring the cultural and environmental details of Iceland together. More than 1 day of availability is welcomed.
Filmmaker arrives to Reykjavik the morning of April 5th, 2017

Humanscapes is a portraiture series in motion which captures the essence of humanity and what it aims to both singularly and collectively achieve. Each video is a glance into a person’s life, the passions that drive them and the culture they are a part of. Humanscapes will use each subject’s environment as the canvas from which their essence and motivation shall be presented. The series aims to inform an answer to the question: what are we all doing here and how can we learn from each other to build a better world?

"As a no nothing kid from a typical American suburb in the south, I am blessed to now live and work in one of the most culturally diverse cities in America. Although I greatly enjoy my home in Los Angeles with it's abundance of interesting people and stories to tell, I equally enjoy getting out and seeing what the rest of the world looks and feels like and have made it a mission to stay out of Los Angeles as much as I am in it. There is much to see and feel on this planet of ours, between all things light and dark." - Chris Laughter
